Acceptable Use Policy

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy sets out what you may and may not do when using the Opine platform. It applies to all users, whether free or paid, verified or unverified. By using Opine, you agree to comply with this policy.

2. Prohibited content

You must not publish, share or transmit content that:

  • Is unlawful under English law or the laws of the jurisdiction in which it is published.
  • Is defamatory, harassing, abusive, threatening or invasive of privacy.
  • Constitutes hate speech on the basis of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or other protected characteristic.
  • Is obscene, pornographic or sexually explicit.
  • Incites violence or terrorism.
  • Infringes the intellectual property rights of any person or organisation.
  • Contains malware, viruses or other harmful code.
  • Is knowingly false or misleading in a way that could cause harm.

3. Prohibited conduct

You must not:

  • Impersonate any person, organisation or verified entity.
  • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation in a verification application.
  • Use automated tools to create accounts, publish content or extract data without permission.
  • Attempt to circumvent any security or access control measure.
  • Engage in coordinated inauthentic behaviour or manipulation of the platform.
  • Use the platform for commercial spam or unsolicited communications.

4. Online Safety Act 2023

Opine complies with the UK Online Safety Act 2023. We take reasonable steps to prevent illegal content from being published on our platform and to remove it promptly when identified. We maintain a record of content moderation actions and cooperate with Ofcom as required.

5. Reporting violations

If you become aware of content that violates this policy, please report it to hello@opine.xyz. We review all reports and take appropriate action, which may include removing content, suspending accounts or referring matters to law enforcement.

6. Enforcement

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates this policy and to suspend or terminate accounts of users who repeatedly or seriously violate it. We may act without prior notice where we consider it necessary to protect the platform or its users.
