Content & IP Policy

Last updated: 8 June 2026  ·  Opine UK Ltd

1. Your content

You retain full ownership of all content you publish on Opine. Publishing on Opine does not transfer ownership of your content to us.

2. Licence to Opine

By publishing content on Opine, you grant Opine UK Ltd a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable licence to:

  • Store, display and distribute your content on the platform.
  • Create cryptographic fingerprints (SHA-256 hashes) of your content for integrity verification.
  • Display your content in search results, feeds and other platform features.

This licence continues until you delete the content or your account.

3. Third-party content

You must not publish content that infringes the intellectual property rights of any third party. This includes text, images, audio, video and other materials protected by copyright, trademark or other intellectual property law. If you wish to reference third-party content, you should use appropriate attribution and limit quotation to what is reasonably necessary.

4. Cryptographic fingerprinting

Opine generates a SHA-256 hash of each published opine at the time of publication. This hash is displayed on the opine and serves as an immutable record of the content at publication. We do not warrant that this constitutes a legally binding timestamp or blockchain anchor, although we are exploring such integrations.

5. Takedown requests

If you believe that content on Opine infringes your intellectual property rights, please send a takedown notice to hello@opine.xyz including:

  • Your contact details and a description of the copyrighted work.
  • The URL of the allegedly infringing content.
  • A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorised.
  • A statement of accuracy and authority, signed by you.

6. Opine intellectual property

The Opine platform, including its design, code, trademarks and brand identity, is owned by Opine UK Ltd. You may not reproduce, distribute or create derivative works from any part of our platform without our prior written consent.
